As Vinnie (known as "Papa Vin") and Claire's family grew, so did the business. As the business in Cranston continued to flourish, the Martucci Family expanded their operations to include banquets. Between 1985 - 1992, the Martucci Family and now son Vincent, operated 3 large banquet facilities, serving at one time over 1,100 guests.
Finally in 2004 "Papa Vin", after years of success with son Vincent and now semi retired, decided to join together with his other son Thomas (T.J.) and get back to the roots of the Martucci name, back to the day to day task of running a family restaurant. With the reputation built up over the past 24 years, they knew they could not miss!!!!
"Papa Vin" knew of a spot in East Greenwich / Warwick area. They had a vision of a nice family restaurant, family functions / banquets room and a bar & grill all under one roof. That vision came to be known as "Chianti's Italian Cuisine" founded in September of 2004.
Chianti's was an instant success and became an awarding winning operation 2 years later, winning R.I. Monthly Best Overall Restaurant and Best Italian Restaurant in 2006. Chianti's would go on to win R.I. Monthly Best Italian Restaurant in 2007 & 2008 as well as "Best Italian Bargain" in 2007 for it's award winning all you can eat family style dinner on Sunday's called "Pasta Pranzo".
So come to Chianti's Italian Cuisine, where the tradition of family dinner, in a casual and relaxed but yet romantic atmosphere continues to be a Martucci Family trademark.
